About Our Client

Our client is a curator of extraordinary, independently grown spirit brands – bringing a disruptive approach to beverage distribution in APAC.

Blending an unparalleled portfolio, with notable bartenders and educators, a customer focus, and the Region’s most prominent hospitality partners. With over 100 people in 8 offices across APAC, our client manages the exclusive distribution of a portfolio of more than 600 craft spirits, cocktail ingredients, bar tools and glassware.

About You

You are a commercially minded, results-driven, and creative professional who possesses a free-thinking, analytical attitude, and an entrepreneurial spirit with the proven ability to build brands; defining and leading marketing activities to achieve maximum results for the business, both short and long-term.

A highly motivated and passionate Leader who will oversee a department of passionate and dynamic individuals in a high-energy industry. A corporate brand cheerleader who has excellent business acumen and a thorough understanding of the industry and sales channels (global and local).

About the Role

You will be the gatekeeper and ambassador of our client’s brand (internally and externally) and the extraordinary brands they are partnered with.

A builder of brands, you are responsible for directing brand and marketing plans, leading all strategic marketing initiatives and major campaigns that support our client’s spirits, including strategic lead-generation and brand awareness programs.

The position demands a strong understanding of Regional market dynamics, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes, alongside a creative approach to promotional activities and a keen eye for emerging trends in the spirits industry.

You will report to the CEO of the business and play an integral role on the Leadership team.


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


Marketing Department Management

  • Holistic department management; setting expectations, marketing tools, dissemination of frameworks, planning and reporting tools, driver of major campaigns, driver and soundboard for activation excellence

  • Line Manager for Data Analyst role

  • Line Manager for ongoing out-sourced contracts: Graphic Designer & Content Manager

  • Maintain department cohesiveness and connection through collaborative sharing sessions, orienting and training and building out campaigns or shared projects that involve cooperation

  • Work with the GMs to ensure the team has clear professional development plans and KPIs with regular check-ins

  • Lead ‘insights and learning’ within the department by sharing market/industry trends, product, audience, campaign, and technology insights...

  • Encourage ‘excellence’ by leading by example with communications, planning, ideas…

  • Embed new tools that will increase productivity and better output

Our Client’s Brand Management

  • Integrated annual marketing plan & budgeting to bring our business vision to life, including setting targets for project delivery

  • Content & communications planning, briefing, quality control (potentially hire FT Content Manager role in H2) for our owned platforms

  • Driver of industry and community presence

  • Compile and present company marketing reports to key stakeholders

  • Proactively come up with different ways to challenge the status quo of our marketing and distribution efforts, ensuring the group is bold and innovative in its approach

  • Ensure all brand assets are up to date, refreshed, and taken to the next level

Brand Partner Management

  • Alongside the Head of Operations, be a go-to person for brand partners, ensuring open collaboration, communication and satisfaction of partnership

  • Provide regular insights and data analysis to drive strategic conversations

  • Be the lead strategist / approver for: A&P, key campaigns, channel plays, NPD, pricing…

  • Review partnership satisfaction with the annual engagement survey

Planning & Reporting

  • Direct and oversee the delivery of our partner brand plans (for each market) and ensure that they are comprehensively communicated to colleagues and partners

  • Ensure the department is delivering plans and reports according to built frameworks; brand plan, monthly meetings with BI dashboard, quarterly reporting, marketing muddles

  • Review and adapt the frameworks as our data platforms evolve – build out a 2.0 version (involve the CEO in this journey)

  • Embed new framework with the department and guardian it

  • Distribute Qtrly depletions to all brand partners with relevant performance insights in collaboration with the Head of Operations

  • Perform detailed analysis at regional and local levels to understand and improve campaign performance

Portfolio Management

  • Support CEO and Head of Operations in reviewing and evolving our brand portfolio

  • Play an integral role in the Portfolio Panel sessions

  • Evolve the Brand pitching documentation as and when necessary

  • Provide data analysis to support key decisions

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s in Marketing/ Business or equivalent experience

  • 10+ plus years of industry or relevant regional experience

  • Leadership excellence and team-building skills with proven results required

  • Proven experience in developing profitable marketing strategies and implementing vision

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and passion for our client’s brands, trends and key customers both at a local and global level

  • Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit

  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust

  • A natural communicator who can build relationships easily

  • Display flexible and forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills

  • Possess the ability to see the big picture while being meticulous with details

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills and can engage with people from diverse backgrounds
