About the role

As a Regional Finance Director with a strong focus on Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), you will lead our client’s finance team in Singapore. This role requires you to be a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills, the ability to provide actionable insights, and the capability to drive financial performance across the region. This is an exciting time to join a growing team of different functions across the APAC Region.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Develop and implement the regional financial strategy aligned with our client’s goals.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors.

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyse financial performance and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, and present findings to the executive team.

  • Evaluate the financial implications of business decisions and guide financial impact.

  • Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with regional and local business units to understand their financial needs and provide support for decision-making.

  • Work closely with operational leaders to drive cost efficiency and revenue growth.

  • Facilitate financial performance reviews and drive corrective actions as needed.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial planning and analysis.

  • Implement best practices in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and guidance.

  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance function.

  • Manage relationships with external auditors, consultants, and financial institutions.

  • Risk Management:

  • Assess and manage financial risks and ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are in place.

  • Oversee the financial controls and compliance framework to safeguard company assets.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Over 10 years in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior FP&A role, demonstrating a strong grasp of financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.

  • Ability to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate goals

  • Exceptional skills in analysing complex financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making.

  • Experienced in leading and mentoring finance teams, fostering a high-performance culture, and managing cross-functional collaborations.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly and persuasively to senior executives and stakeholders.

  • Ability to identify and implement best practices in financial planning and analysis, driving process efficiencies and compliance.

  • Strong ability to collaborate with regional and local business units, providing valuable financial insights and support for business decisions.

  • Experience in assessing and managing financial risks, with a proactive approach to developing effective risk mitigation strategies.
