About the Role
They are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven individual to lead the development of their Malaysia market for a fine jewellery brand.
This is a unique opportunity to build a market from the ground up, defining the go-to-market strategy, establishing key partnerships, and driving sales performance in a high-touch, luxury environment.
As the first hire in KL, Malaysia, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy while working closely with regional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Strategy
Define and execute the Malaysia market entry and growth strategy
Identify target customer segments and sales channels
Recommend and test new approaches to drive brand presence and revenue
Sales Ownership & Performance Management
Own and deliver sales targets for Malaysia and Singapore
Build and manage a sales pipeline, including forecasting and reporting
Track monthly performance and continuously refine sales plans
Business Development & Partnerships
Identify and develop relationships with multi-brand retailers, partners, and collaborators
Lead and execute pop-ups, trunk shows, and private client events
Work with external partners (e.g. PR agencies, event partners) to drive brand visibility
Client Development
Build and nurture relationships with high-value clients
Deliver a personalised, high-touch sales experience aligned with luxury standards
Operations & Market Setup
Establish foundational processes (CRM, reporting, client follow-up)
You are expected to operate the company’s systems, including the POS system, CRM database, as well as other systems which may be implemented from time to time. You are to maintain accurate sales entries. While the CRM process remains manual, this role is responsible for updating client records promptly and accurately to ensure seamless engagement.
Manage day-to-day operations independently in the initial phase
Contribute to longer-term plans for a physical presence
Requirements
Proven experience in sales and/or business development within luxury, fine jewellery, or high-value consumer segments
Experience covering or working across the Malaysia and Singapore markets
Demonstrated ability to build or grow a market, business unit, or client base
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing targets, forecasting, and pipelines
Hands-on experience with clienteling, events, or relationship-driven sales
