Chief HR Officer

Role: Chief HR Officer
Location: Tai Seng, Singapore


Our client offers infant care and preschool programs for children. Their mission is to provide a world-class holistic learning space where children discover their love for learning. They are currently teaching about 500 Children across 10 schools in Singapore. Our client is expanding rapidly and is looking for a Chief HR Officer to look after all the brands and join their HQ team.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop people strategies that support overall business goals

  • Provide overall leadership to the company’s People Team

  • Build talent acquisition strategies to build strong pipelines for future hiring needs

  • Formulate a career development plan framework that can be used across locations 

  • Develop HR policies for all branches, regions and countries

  • Strengthen the systems, processes, and infrastructure to support the company’s business and people strategies

  • Coach managers; encourage managers and employees to work together to resolve workplace and performance issues

  • Develop and increase organisational agility and drive high-performance culture in the workplace

  • Thorough understanding of HR functions and best practices

  • Develop and oversee the onboarding process of new hires to maintain and improve the employee’s experience.

  • Assist with the overall HR strategies, initiatives, policies and processes through implementation and maintenance of employee handbooks, organisation charts

  • Nurture a positive working environment by bridging management and employee relations, and managing the grievance and disciplinary process when required

  • Manage the performance management process, both confirmation and twice-yearly performance reviews, including salary benchmarking

Desired Experience and Skillset:

  • 8 - 10 years of experience with 2-3 Years of experience being a Chief People Officer, VP of HR or similar role

  • Self-starting approach and positive attitude to contribute

  • Experience in strategic planning

  • Good understanding of labour legislation of Singapore and nearby regions

  • Excellent leadership abilities

  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human resources or a related field like Organisational Psychology

  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems when necessary
